The Learning Place is a fully equipped Adult and Family Learning environment provided as part of Portsmouth City Council’s commitment to lifelong learning. It features:

10 fully accessible, high quality teaching and learning spaces;
Crèche;
Courtyard and garden areas;
Reception and staff resource area;
Full disabled access.

Room Details

Ground Floor
Room 1 Room 1 has a capacity of 10 and is suitable for cookery and dry art and craft courses
Room 2 Room 2 has a capacity of 12 and is a general purpose learning space.
Rooms 3 and 4 Rooms 3 and 4 have capacities of 12 and 10 respectively and are general purpose learning spaces. These rooms can be combined into one large learning space by removing a partition.
Room 5 Rooms 5 is designed as a crèche but can also be used as a general learning space. Room 5 has access to the garden.
Garden The Learning Place features a small enclosed garden accessible from the crèche.
Courtyard Another outside space.
First Floor
Room 6 Room 6 has a capacity of 10 and is suitable for all Arts. The is access to a printing press if required.
Rooms 7 and 8 Rooms 7 and 8 each have a capacity of 12 and are general purpose learning spaces. These rooms can be combined into one large learning space by removing a partition.
Room 9 Room 9 has a capacity of 10 and is the first of our IT suites.
Room 10 Room 10 has a capacity of 12 and is the second of our IT suites.
